5,400 lines and 1,800 orders in 480 labour hours is 11.25 lines an hour and 3.75 orders an hour. Both matter: a client with many lines an order pays for lines, a client with one line an order pays for orders, and the same week reads differently for each. The worksheet shows both so the report fits the client's rate card.

Cost: the week's labour and the cost per order

480 hours at a loaded $24 an hour is $11,520 of labour for the week, and over 1,800 orders it is $6.40 an order, which is the figure to set beside the handling rate the client pays. The loaded rate is your own figure including on-costs; the worksheet publishes none.

Service and accuracy: dock-to-stock and clean locations

780 dock hours over 260 receipts is three hours a receipt from the truck to a scanned location, and 392 clean locations of 400 counted is 98% accuracy.
